As Çekim Kimya, we believe that result-oriented sustainable steps can be achieved through the preservation of social and global values and cooperation with stakeholders, and we continue to take innovative steps within the framework of compliance with the basic policies we have determined. While taking these steps, we believe that our suppliers also play an important role in the success of our Company, and we aim to work with them with permanent and sustainable relationships.

We expect our suppliers to comply with all applicable national and local laws, rules, regulations and requirements. The ’Supplier Code of Conduct’ is the principle that describes our expectations for ethical behavior, and we demand that these principles be acted upon and we expect them to share your commitment to compliance with us.

The Supplier Code of Conduct contains general principles applicable to each and all Suppliers.

SUPPLIER CODE OF CONDUCT

Working Hours and Fees

The Supplier shall act in full compliance with the laws regarding the remuneration of compulsory working and overtime hours in providing employees with the wages they deserve. It will provide conditions that prevent sexual harassment, sexual abuse, verbal abuse, mental or physical coercion and all kinds of similar treatment.

Prohibit Child Labor

The Supplier shall adhere to the minimum working age limit specified in National laws or regulations and shall comply with relevant International Labour Organization (ILO) standards.

Forced Labour/Modern Slavery

The supplier shall not resort to unacceptable methods of labor such as forced labor, bonded labor, captivity, human trafficking methods, slave labor.

Rights of Minorities and Indigenous Peoples

Supplier shall respect the legal rights of minorities and indigenous people and shall not participate in any illegal forced eviction practices.

Occupational Health and Safety

The Supplier shall meet all occupational health and safety standards stipulated in the local legislation and shall provide a healthy and safe working environment for its employees. The supplier will make notifications to its employees about occupational health and safety, including all legal regulations.

Prohibition of Discrimination

The supplier will create a working environment where employees feel valued and respected, free from discrimination and abuse, and free from verbal or physical harassment. It should be ensured that equal opportunities are provided and treated fairly at all levels. Suppliers may not exclude, prefer, or discriminate against individuals on the basis of sex, age, creed, race, caste, ancestry, social background, disability, ethnic or national origin, nationality or membership in other legal organizations, political affiliations or opinions, sexual orientation, familial responsibilities, marital status, illness, or any other condition that may cause discrimination.

Health & Safety

The supplier shall provide a safe and healthy workplace and provide services that meet applicable quality and health and safety standards. It will comply with all legal regulations related to this issue.

Environment

The Supplier will act in accordance with the legal regulations related to the environment and with the awareness that climate change is a global existential threat in all its activities.

Product Security and Compliance

The raw materials supplied to Çekim Kimya will meet all applicable regulatory requirements, including labeling and hazard communication, and all applicable quality and safety standards.

Commercial Integrity

Supplier shall not engage in any action related to bribery, fraudulent practices, abuse or money laundering and shall comply with anti-bribery laws and rules and international regulations. It will not bribe any Çekim Kimya employee, Çekim Kimya employee’s family or friends or offer any incentive.

Fair Competition

Supplier shall comply with all applicable laws regarding fair competition.

Gifts & Entertainment

The Supplier shall not give, offer or attempt to gain an unfair advantage of gifts or entertainment opportunities that appear to improperly influence or reasonably influence the business decisions of Çekim Kimya employees.

Confidential Information and Personal Data

It will respect the intellectual property rights of Çekim Kimya, protect all confidential information, including sensitive and confidential information and trade secrets, and take the necessary security measures.

Supplier will process, store, transmit and share personal information in accordance with applicable data privacy and information security laws. Suppliers will only use the personal information of Çekim Kimya employees, customers and contractors for legitimate business purposes or as authorized by a contract with Çekim Kimya.

International Trade Regulations

Supplier shall comply with all applicable laws governing international trade.

Compliance

When providing goods and services, the Supplier shall comply with other applicable laws in addition to the standards set out in these Rules. Each supplier is responsible for ensuring that its employees and agents understand and comply with this Supplier Code of Conduct.

The Supplier must be able to prove that it complies with the Supplier Code of Conduct upon the request of Çekim Kimya A.Ş.. Çekim Kimya A.Ş. has the right to carry out on-site audits or to perform it through third parties and to request information from its Suppliers at any time. Çekim Kimya reserves the right to terminate the business agreement with any Supplier who fails to comply with the Supplier Code of Conduct.
